Happy 3-2-1 Sunday,
Well, I have to admit, in 3 years, I haven’t missed a Sunday, except for last Sunday. I apologize, but I also give myself grace. I was fulfilling my purpose and doing what I love to do, which is running my travel program for high school-aged girls through my nonprofit organization, Cinnamongirl Inc. 12 of us were traveling through Peru for the last 2 weeks, and frankly, last Sunday, I was pulled in so many different directions that time just slipped away from me. I’m reminded of this quote I got in Adam Grant’s newsletter many years ago that has stuck with me:
Life happens, and sometimes life starts life-ing and you miss it. Whatever it is: a workout, a devotion time with God, messed up a streak you were committed to, or in my case, you missed a Sunday after posting consistently for 3 years. We have to give ourselves the grace to miss and mess up. But even though I missed last week, I’m here today. So welcome back to this week’s newsletter. Here are 3 sermon notes, 2 quotes, & 1 question to consider this week.

3 Sermon Notes
I.
There will be certain seasons of your life where you operate with courage and certain seasons where you operate with consistency. Because it’s hard to consistently have courage.

II.
I don't know where God is calling you. I don't know where God is calling you to move forward.
But I want you to know that you're afraid of a threat that does not exist. A threat, already neutralized by the Lord, is what you fear. You may be afraid, but I want you to know that your fear will become your audience. This is because when God finishes showing you that He prepared the room and the heart before you arrived and that He neutralized the threat, all you have to do is say yes. They are ready to receive you, your gift, and your sound. They are listening for you, waiting for the sound of your idea, your vision, and your practice. When you find your sound, it will break through the noise because they have been waiting for you.

III.
You are closer than you’ve ever been in your life.
You shouldn’t even be here, but God has shielded you and protected you. Yet, the closer you get, the more the enemy tries to wear you out. Just know, God has your back.
All you need to do is show up, and when you show up, it’ll open. This isn’t the first time you’ve been through this. This is familiar territory with added pressure. Since the enemy is pushing harder, you need to push even harder with more determination.
This is not your exit; this is your entrance.

1 Question
Is this where God told you to be?
If your feet are planted where God told you to be, even if the environment looks threatening, you can get everything you need from it only if you go all the way in, because God allowed you to be there.
Until next week,
We love you! Grace is always yours and we are always here to remind you of its warm and soft embrace. You're amazing! & Welcome back!
Welcome back! Glad that your missed week was for something joyous ✨
