Happy 3-2-1 Sunday,
I know it feels like we're living in a world that's gone off the rails. The news is wild, everything is expensive, and it seems like every day brings a new crisis. But I want to remind you that God is still on the throne. He’s the one running the show.
Remember that story in Mark 4? Jesus and the disciples are in a boat when a storm hits. The disciples are freaking out, but where's Jesus? Sleeping in the back of the boat, totally unbothered. That's our God. While we're stressing about inflation and elections, He's at peace because He knows the end game. We might be in choppy waters, but our Captain's got this.
So what do we do? We take our worries, our fears, our thoughts, and we spread them before God. Not to our group chats, not solely to our friends, but to the One who can actually do something about it. And then? We trust. We trust that the same God who fed 5000 with a kid's lunch can provide for us. We trust that the God who brought down walls with a shout can break through any obstacle we face.
Y'all, we're covered. Not by what we’ve done to protect ourselves, but by the blood of Jesus. That's a coverage plan that never fails. So let's lift our heads high. Let's be the light in this darkness. Because we know that no matter how crazy things get, our God is bigger. He's got us. And with Him, we've got this.
With love,
Lena 💌

3 Sermon Notes
I.
The mentality of who you are is at war with who you’re becoming.
Sometimes we feel restricted by what we cannot do. But God’s saying is, "If you stop focusing on what you can’t do, you’ll see what I can still do without you moving from where you are." God can still do it with that boss; He can still do it in that family; He can still do it in that city. If you think you need to move to get it done, then you’re shrinking God’s power.
God can do it because of who He is, not because of who they are. If you put more weight on them, then you follow the word that He gave you; then they are your God and He is not. But if He gave you a word, then He’s going to make sure that word stays in the earth and will not return to Him void.

When you choose transformation, you have to withstand isolation. Transformation cannot happen with company. Transformation takes place in isolation, and we’re going to find out what sticks when you’re the only one.
You have to withstand this period of being the only one. But God’s never going to let you be alone for long.

Whenever you become impatient, your impatience will give birth to the thing that will fight your promise. Your impatience will cause your promise a problem. I know you want it right now, but don’t get ahead of God.

Do you have something in your life today that you need to spread before the Lord that you've been holding on the inside and fighting in your head?
