3 Sermon Notes
I.
Do you have a secret place? We have scheduled our lives so full of what we call blessings that we don’t have a place that we go to withdraw to. If I look at your calendar and your priorities, would it tell me you have a place that you withdraw to to just be with the Father?
The greatest things that will ever happen in your life, God’s not giving them in a mass email. He’s not sending them to your family members to tell you. These things are so unique to your DNA that He wants to speak through His Word to you with impressions in your heart and your spirit, and through the Holy Spirit, He wants to speak just to you. But if you do not make space and time to actually have a place that is obscure, you will miss the instructions and the preparation that it takes to rule in front of everybody.

It’s been your time for that, but you’re scared and you don’t know what to do. Sometimes God won’t give you instructions until you step; you have to walk by faith and not by sight.
You’re hidden when God calls you and you come. You’re hiding when God calls you, and you cover up. If you want God to do something, when He calls, come.
I don’t know what to do. Come.
I don’t know who’s up there. Come.
I’m not qualified; come.
I don’t have all the credentials; come.
Why do we need so many answers before we trust when the Father calls?

III.
Obscurity is an invitation to intimacy with God. When God takes you out of the crowd, He’s inviting you to be close to Him. All he wants to do is be able to tell you, speak to you, and give you unique instructions.
Obscurity is a place of development, design, detox, deliverance, and destiny, but it is also a place where God denies your wants. When you get close with God, He says no a lot. But it’s easier to take correction behind closed doors.

"Anytime God doesn’t let you shine, He wants to refine something in your life. Instead of trying to fight to get up in there, go back to God and say, "God, what is it? If there’s anything in me that’s not like you, remove it. If my motive is off, change me. God, here I am.” - Jermone Glenn

"God answered my prayers when I stopped talking over Him. God answered my prayers when I stopped insisting that it had to be my way. God started answering my prayers when I started silencing the voices of everyone else and who they thought I should be and what they thought I should do that's when I broke through the noise. When I turned the volume down on them and created a space where I said God if you want to speak to me, I'm listening. If you want to speak a word here I am.
I had to create space in my prayer life for God to talk back to me where I can receive God's vision, God's wisdom, God's heart posture towards this situation. It was in that space that God began to disrupt my fear, disrupt my shame, and disrupt my small thinking." - Cora Jakes
1 Question
Is it still good if it’s unimportant or unknown?
If there’s no end result for people to see, where is your consistency? The truth of the matter is people might be watching but God is. Just because because you don't get applause doesn't mean that you don't have God's approval.
