Happy 3-2-1 Sunday,
Last week, 24 readers of the 3-2-1 Sunday newsletter gathered in Washington D.C. for the third installment of our dinner series. Over a delicious meal, we centered our evening around the theme of "creativity." This dinner was not solely for those who identify as "creators," but rather for people from all walks of life and interests, because we are all inherently creative beings.
We drew inspiration from the ultimate Creator, God Himself, who created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1) and formed humanity in His own image (Genesis 1:26). So we like God are master creators and through a curated set of questions, we reflected on what it means to be a creator and explored our own creative capacities. It was a night filled with delicious food, moments of introspection, and the company of truly amazing people as we thought about the unique gifts we all have to offer the world.
Our next dinner in this series will take place in Chicago, so stay tuned for more details!
And now, without further ado, here are 3 sermon notes, 2 quotes, and 1 question to consider this week.

3 Sermon Notes
I.
To find yourself, find God. If you want to discover your identity or self-esteem, you have to do it with Him, because whenever you gain a revelation of who God is, He reveals who you are.

It's no longer time to pray about things you can act on. This is your season, and He's not giving you another instruction. Get your life in order because you're holding up your own blessing and complaining to God about Him being late. He's not late; He's kind. He's not late; He's protecting you. The truth is, if you don't get your character in order and God gives you access to those people, you'll only spill out everything that's inside of you.
There have been many times when God has stopped a blessing so that I can catch up in maturity.

Society has perfected pessimism because we believe it will protect us from disappointment. We stop hoping because if we hope for something and it doesn't happen, we feel that God has failed us. When we stop hoping, we lose the fuel for faith, because faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the substance of things not seen. You cannot have faith without hope. It may not happen, but it cannot happen if I don't hope for it.
So raise your hopes. You've never needed to uphold God's name. If He doesn't do it and you are disappointed, He can handle that. But the Bible says that all things work together for the good of those who are called and love Him. So if it doesn't happen, it means that something else is about to happen.
